The NXT Wrestling Fan

Apr 16, 2023

The episode of NXT that originally aired on January 21st, 2015 didn't intend to teach us a new word, but in our defense, Afrikaans words are simpler to spell on an American keyboard than 'Coup de Grâce' is. Not that we don't love a circumflex around here. Other things we loved and just generally had emotions about include:

  • Day job promo packages
  • Is William Regal a Spring
  • Excited about brackets
  • Deferral of inevitability
  • Ulnar Nerve Manipulation
  • Murder Chalk
  • Treat yourself to a Bargument
  • An Ode to Dinosaur Training
  • Steak Fight
  • The deadly Fucktapus
  • Some beautiful hands
  • "You too, Princess."

Our theme song is called "Learnbuckle" and it was created by the uniquely talented Rafael Medina, whose work you can and should follow via his Twitter account, @EarthMeauxFaux! You can also follow MeganBob @meganbobness, and the show itself @nxtwrestlingfan. If you want to get in touch with Kris Newton, set up a pit trap in the Pacific Northwest with a giant pot of coffee and wait patiently. Special thanks to our editor, Lucas Brown, who remains eternally the best! Listen to his excellent podcast, The Math of You, and follow him on Twitter @lokified.
